London 1870. Our hero Phileas Hog is pig of considerable standing. Despite his wealth he does not appear to have any occupation and very little is known about his earlier life. Likewise, he appears to be well-travelled, (a Victorian Jet-setter if you will) but the details of his past travels remain elusive.
Due to his large fortune and excellent credit history, Mr. Hog is a member of the Reform club on Pall Mall, an exclusive political establishment for liberally minded swines. It is here that over a game of one evening, he is set a wager of twenty thousand guineas to circumnavigate the world in 80 days or less…
Packing his suitcases with cash and setting off in his not unluxurious balloon, Mr. Hog embarks on a globe-trotting adventure that takes him across continents to far away lands. But will he beat the clock and bring home the bacon? The race is on!
